In
2ª week of August, the trade balance presented
US$ exportations 3,158 billion and importation of
US$ 1,705 billion, resulting in surplus of US$ 1,453
billion. Until 2ª week of August, the exportations
accumulate US$ 5,543 billion and the importations,
US$ 3,437 billion, with surplus of US$ 2,106 billion.
In the year, the exportations totalize US$ 80,065
billion and the importations, US$ 52,790 billion,
with surplus of US$ 27,275 billion.

ANALYSIS OF THE WEEK
The
average of the exportations of 2ª week arrived
the US$ 631,6 million, 5.9% superior to the US$
average 596,3 million 1ª week. In the week
they had grown vendas of basic products (+29.3%,
of US$ 163,6 million for US$ 211,5 million, mainly,
oil in rude, iron ore, soy bran, meats bovine, coffee
in grain and maize in grain) and semimanufactured
(+11.0%, of US$ 82,4 million for US$ 91,5 million,
on account of aluminum in rude, semimanufactured
of ironsteel, casting iron, aluminum alloys, sawed
wood and oil of soy in rude), while the manufactured
ones had decreased 7.8%, de US$ 338,3 million for
US$ 311,9 million, on account of airplanes, automobiles
of passengers, gasoline, fine sugar, footwear, engines
for vehicles, load autopeças and vehicles.
Of the side of the importations, it had 21,2% retraction,
on equal comparative period (average of 2ªweek/average
of the 1ªsemana), motivated, mainly, for the
falls in the purchases of fuels and lubricant, electric
equipment, instruments of optics and precision,
siderurgical and aircraft and parts.

ANALYSIS OF THE MONTH
In
the exportations, compared the averages until 2ª
week of august/2006 (US$ 615,9 million) with the
one of august/2005 (US$ 493,3 million), it had 24,8%
growth, motivated for the increase of the three
categories of products: semimanufactured (+62.9%,
of US$ 53,7 million for US$ 87,5 million, with additions,
mainly, in the exportations of copper cathodes,
aluminum in rude, aluminum alloys, sugar in rude,
semimanufactured of ironsteel, cellulose, leathers
and skins and sawed wood), manufactured (+24.9%,
of US$ 259,2 million for US$ 323,7 million, on account
of etílic alcohol, pipes of casting iron,
combustible oils, gasoline, chassis with engine,
transmitting devicesreceivers, engines for vehicles,
autopeças and automobiles of passengers)
and basic (+14.0%, of US$ 166,9 million for US$
190,2 million, on account of maize in grain, marbles
and granites, soy bran, iron ore, soy in grain and
tobacco in leves). Relatively julho/2006, the exportations
had presented 5,1% retraction (of US$ 648,7 million
for US$ 615,9 million), due to reduction in vendas
of basic (- 14.2%, of US$ 221,7 million for US$
190,2 million) and semimanufactured (- 2.7%, of
US$ 89,9 million for US$ 87,5 million). On the other
hand, the manufactured ones had been remained steady,
+0,2%, passing of US$ 323,0 million for US$ 323,7
million.
In
the importations, the daily average until 2ª
week of august/2006, of US$ 381,9 million, he was
14.1% above average of agosto/2005 (US$ 334,6 million)
and 0.4% superior july/2006 (US$ 380,2 million).
In the comparative degree with august/2005, they
had increased the expenses, mainly, of seasonings
and fertilizers automobiles and parts (+46.8%),
druggists (+30.1%), mechanical equipment (+19.1%),
siderurgical (+18.5%) and plastics and workmanships
(+14.1%). In relation july/2006, it had increase
in the following products: seasonings and fertilizers
(+196.3%), mechanical equipment (+6.3%), vehicles
automobiles and parts (+4.8%), organic chemistriesinorgânicos
(+4.4%), e plastic and workmanships (+0.6%).
